There is strength in numbers. With 270,000 members in over 1,400 branches, the Royal Canadian Legion serves as Canada's largest community service organization, reaching across our vast country and abroad while connecting us to our past, present, and future. Our members deeply care about providing veteran support to the men and women who serve and have served this country, striving to make a difference in their lives.
The Legion's diverse membership includes currently serving and retired Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police members, alongside their families—mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, sons, daughters, and grandchildren of Veterans. Each of these individuals is affected by the care our Veterans receive and the issues they face.
We also invite those without military affiliation who are committed to supporting Canada’s Veterans to join us. Legion members, regardless of their service history, contribute to veteran support, promote Remembrance, support Legion programs, and volunteer their time to provide essential services within their communities. Without the dedication of Legion volunteers, the invaluable programs and services offered to our Veterans and their families would not be possible.
We take pride in the work our members do for Veterans, and we welcome all Canadians to join us in honouring and assisting those who serve and have served.
